Our Favourite Gin Cocktails

Restrictions are easing, though we are all taking precautions and still spending a lot of time at home. So we’ve put together recipes for some of our favourite easy gin cocktails.

Developed over the 1920s, the French 75 is a refreshing cocktail for Champaign lovers.

  • 15 ml simple syrup

  • 30ml gin

  • 120ml sparkling wine or Champaign

  • lemon twist

GIN-Cocktail-1.jpg

A sweet gin cocktail with a dash of lime dating back to 1928.

Ingredients:

  • 60ml Gin

  • 30ml lime juice

  • 30ml simple syrup

Preparation: Shake ingredients on ice and strain into a chilled glass. Add other herbs and fruit if desired, some ideas include mint, basil, or berries.

Gin and Tonic with a twist

No Gin cocktail list is complete without a Gin and Tonic, but we encourage you to spice it up by adding zesty flavours. Try adding a spiral of lemon, lime or orange zest to the drink for a fresh taste. Don’t be afraid to get creative by adding other herbs and spices like, mint, rosemary or ginger.

Ingredients:

  • 45ml Gin

  • 120ml Tonic water (you can choose flavoured tonic water if desired)

  • Zesty twist of choice, here are some ideas: lemon, lime, orange (for something sweeter) or blood orange

Preparation: Run a bit of zest around the lip of the glass, pour Gin and Tonic into the glass and finish by adding the zesty twist inside the drink.

First Edition Signature Gin

We love Gin so much we worked with the Canberra Distillery to develop our own Signature First Edition Gin, which is available at our restaurant and bar. Try it in our signature cocktail, First Impression with fresh passion fruit or ask our bar tenders to make your favourite Gin cocktail.

Our Gin is juniper heavy and lightly spiced with coriander, cinnamon and sage. After distillation, the gin is infused with pink grapefruit giving it a light, sweet flavour that makes it perfect for gin cocktails. Join us to try our gin in your favourite restaurant.
